- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- ½ tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons minced dehydrated onion
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 4 to 5 pounds pork shoulder roast
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 ½ cups barbeque sauce optional
- 1 cup dill pickle chips
- 1 cup sliced white onions
- 36 slider buns
Preheat the oven 350°F.
Combine the brown sugar, salt, pepper, dehydrated onion, paprika, and chili powder in a small bowl. Stir well.
Place the pork shoulder in a Dutch oven. Cover the pork with the spice blend and pour the apple cider vinegar into the pot.
Cover the pot and bake for 3 to 4 hours or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. The pork should be fork tender.
Shred the pork and add BBQ sauce if desired.
To serve, add about ¼ cup of meat to each bun and top with sliced dill pickles and white onions of desired.
