Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian Rolls
  • 8 large large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter melted, divided use
  • 12 cooked breakfast sausage patties
  • 6-8 slices American cheese
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a large baking sheet or 9x13-inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Beat eggs in a medium mixing bowl. Add eggs and 2 tablespoons of butter to a skillet over medium heat. Stir with a rubber spatula until fluffy. Cook for about 3 minutes until the eggs are fully scrambled. Set aside.
  • Use a bread knife to carefully cut the sliders in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom portion.
  • Spread scrambled eggs on the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Top with breakfast sausage, spaced evenly with a patty on top of each roll.
  • Top sausage with American cheese slices and place the top of the buns over the cheese.
  • In a small mixing bowl, add the remaining melted butter and the maple syrup. Mix well with a fork until fully combined. Use a silicone pastry brush to brush the butter and syrup mixture heavily on top of the buns covering them completely.
  • Place the sliders in the oven and cook for 16 to 18 minutes or until the buns are golden brown. Be sure to check the sliders after minute 16 to ensure they aren’t getting too brown.
  • When done, serve sliders by cutting them away carefully with a knife. Serve with your favorite breakfast side and maple syrup.
